Myriad Promo

This is my "Typeface Promo Poster", for the typeface Myriad. My design for the poster, although simple, was influenced by the definition of the word "myriad". The word is an adjective and noun that means "countless or extremely great in number". That being said, for my poster I have the typeface, Myriad's, background information and the word's definition written and slightly sharpened in the middle and a myriad of blurred "Myriad"s surrounding it. I also added a border around the poster with the letters of the alphabet, both capital and lower cased, and numbers 0-9 inside of it.

SXM Around the Island Race Poster

This is my poster for St. Maarten's Around the Island Relay Race.
In this picture I have an outline of St. Maarten running with the route of the race drawn on it. Its colors also represent the colors of the St. Maarten Flag.
I put the important information at the top (organizers and name of the event and its date), and I put the less important information(rules and regulations) at the bottom.
The background is a picture of a beautiful beach, like those on St. Maarten.

Photo Editing - Photo Hunt (feat. Kanye West)

Finally, I took a regular portrait of Kanye West and made some silly changes to it. Can you find all the changes?

Google: The Hunger Games Edition

This is my Google Doodle. It is based off of the Hunger Games franchise. I used Katniss shooting her arrow as the "G" in Google. The two "o"s and the "g" take after the book's cover pages. The red "o" takes from the second book "Catching Fire", the yellow "o" takes from the first book, and the "g" takes from the third book "The Mockingjay". I used an arrow for the "l" and a trackerjacker nest for the "e".
First I drew Katniss, the birds, the arrow and the nest on a paper. Then, I traced the outlines with a fine sharpie marker in order to efficiently and conveniently color them in on MS Paint. After that I put everything in on Photoshop using the quick selection, the magic eraser, and the marquee tool. At first I had a real forest background but the colors and styles did not match, so instead I put a a cartoon forest background and it blended together well.
